REPLY TO "HOLY CATHOLIC."

TO THE EDITOR

SIR,—In reply to " Holy Catholic's" letter of June, 12th inst. At a meeting of the Kaukapakapa Presbyterian Church Renovating Commmittee, held on 23rd June, and comprising members of all Evangelical sects, a resolution of indignation was passed at the idea of a resident of Kaukapakapa speaking of selling a Church of God for a barn. He says " all worship together" ; that is true. For instance, on the recent visit of the Rev. Inglis, the Methodists kindly cancelled two of their services ; on the following Sunday afternoon the Presbyterians dropped their usual service to set free theVorshippers of (their Church to attend " the sister one on the hill." Should not this help to convince " Holy Catholic" that the tin-pot sect which he accuses of out-doing the other, is united in Christian fellowship? If he needs further proof, how is it that the Ministers have agreed to change pulpits, and help each other in every way possible ? In conclusion, we would state, that our religion is a vital one, and that it is Christ, not sect, that count s. —I am, etc.,

ChAkles Jones, junr.,

Secretary.
