INTER-CLUB MATCH
Two teams from Rocky Nook played a match against our club here on Saturday. Owing to counter attractions, and the short notice given, we had a difficulty in mustering up the required number. Probably never has a closer and keener game been played on the Awaroa rinks,* and the visitors returned home more than pleased with our good greens. match ended, in a draw, both sides scoring the same aggregate points, viz, 36.
Following is the result:- - Awaroa (No.l)— Graham (skip), Ellett, Taylor, Bishop, 17. Rocky Nook (No! I)—H. Jenkin (skip), Gladding, Page, Topliss, 19.
Awaroa (No. 2)— Harris (skip), Cullens, Murray, Aitkenhead,. 19. Rocky Nook (No. 2)—Bouskill (skip), W. H. Jenkin, Brescorhb, Clark, 17.
Shewing the eveness of the game at the end of the 19th head, all the four teams had scored 17 points each. , On the concluding head Graham's team went down by 2 points, and Harris led by a similar number of points. Afternoon tea was provided, and as the visitors had to return by the 4.15 p.m. train, it w^as needless to say, much appreciated
