Veitch, M,P,, at a send-off this week to men going into camp. It was stated, he said, that members of Parliament* would lose votes if they supported conscription, but for himself he cared nothing for his career as a member of Parliament in comparison with the interest of the Empire. He felt it his duty to support any measure found necessary to ensure the fullest supply of men for service at the front.
