INFANTILE PARALYSIS
THOUGH the terrible infantile paralysis has left us, and we believe it started in this district, we must not be too sure of its not paying a return visit. Every precaution is being taken by the school authoritiea to guard against the disease, which one is apt to overlook lightly, and parents cannot be too careful in disinfecting and cleanliness. Besides the two deaths which took place here, we learn that a smart youth of about 15, who contracted the disease, has now lost the use of his limbs, and unless the treat£3£nt he is now undergoing proves sVsobssful, the lad will be a cripple for ever. Such is the aftermath in many cases of infantile paralysis.
