THE "ROOSTERS"
LAST, Saturday the holders, Messrs Harris and Screaton, were beaten by Messrs Hill and Coutts, by 25 to 15. They, however, did not hold them long, suffering defeat a few days later at the hands of Messrs Nuttall and Murphy, by 25 to 13. HELENSVILLE V. EOCKY NOOK A couple of teams journeyed to Auckland last Saturday to play a friendly game with Rocky Nook, returning victorious. The following were the scores: — (Helensville players mentioned first): Aitkenhead, Cullins, Hill, Harris, 20, v. Barton, Gibson, Turner, H. Jenkin, 11; Stringer, Mason, Elliott, Graham, 20, v. Smith, Daniels, Napier, Taylor, 15. Totals: Helensville, 40; Rocky Nook, 26.
Speaking to one or two of the visitors on their return, and looking rather glum, they appeared to be none too pleased with their visit to the Nook, though Helensville won handsomely.
