Business on the local market has been brisk. Potatoes are lower with a downward tendency. Prime large samples are in demand; mixed samples and small are hard to sell. The fruit market is very strong, especially for apples and pears. Poultry—For good conditioned birds good prices are being obtained ; poor conditioned are neglected, POULTRY (850 penned) Hens, prime 1/10 to 2/6, good 1/8 to 1/10, others 1/3 to 1/6 ; ducks, yoiing 1/6 to 3s, others Is to 1/5 ; roosters to 4/9, good 3s to 3/6, smaller 2s to 2/9 ; turkeys, gobblers, 7/ to 12/, ' hens 4s to 5/ ; geese, 3/9 to 4/6. Pigs : 8/6 to £1 2s 6d. FARM PRODUCE Potatoes, prime, £7 to £8, good £9 to £9 10s, small mixed £4 to £5; pumpkins, £3 15s to £5 ; onions, 5s to 6s. DAIRY PRODUCE Butter, Is to 1/1 ; eggs, 1/4 to 1/5 ; cheese, 8d to 3H-d ; hams, 9d tolled; sides, lOd to llMd ; honey, bulk, 2d tq FRUIT ' . Apples, choice dessert 5/6 to 6s, good 5s to 6s, cookers 4/6 to 6/6; pears, cookers 3/9 to ss, dessert 4/6 to ?/6 ; passion fruit, 1/3 to 2s ; grapes, 9d to 20y,d; tomatoes, 2/6 to 4/9.
