SHOOTING.
HENDERSON NATIONAL RESERVE V. KAIPARA RIFLE CLUB
A MOST enjoyable day was spent on the Helensville Rifle Range on Saturday, 4th inst., when the above teams met in a friendly contest. The ranges fired at were 200 and 300 yards, and the light was not the best for shooting, it being too hazy at times. A number of the public put in an appearance, including ladies, who served out afternoon tea after the contest was over. The Kaipara team did well at ...the 200 yds range, Handling making the highest score with 31; but at the 300 yds range Henderson showed their superiority, their best man being Carr, who scored 29.
