DEFENCE NOTES.

The Helensville Platoon of the Kaipara Defence Rifle Club will parade for musketry on Saturday, 26th inst., at the Orderly Room at 2 p.m.; also at the Agricultural Hall on Thursday, 2nd March, at 8 p.m.

Tha parade called for Cadets for Monday, the 28th inst., is cancelled,

Captain Turley and Sergt.Major Fletcher left Helensville on the 21st and 23rd inst. respectively to attend the camp at Taumarere, Kawakawa. .

Attention is called to the Military JSTight on Monday next, 28th insl, at Stewart's Theatre, when a grand display of military pictures will be exhibited. The proceeds are in aid of the formation of.the rifle range.
