HELENSVILLE TOWN BOARD

THURSDAY, JANUARY 13th

PRESENT Comrs. E. T. Field (chairman), A. Becroft, J. Wilson, T. Elliott, J. F. Lambert, G. Sellars, and the clerk (H. W. Stringer). MINUTES Minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. CORRESPONDENCE Outward correspondence was comfirmed. GENERAL. On the motion of the Chairman seconded by Com. Wilson, the Clerk was instructed to inform the Helensville Brass Band that the Board regrets to find that while the Band failed to notify the delegates of the Board of their meeting, they published adverse criticism on the delegates for not attending. It was decided to invite applications for collection of Dog Tax. The Chairman proposed and Com. Sellars seconded —That the Clerk inform the Helensville Brass Band that the Board are Board are agreeable to take over the control of the Band. The Clerk was instructed to notify certain residents of Fourth Avenue that if they did not connect with the drainage sewer within one month, proceedings would be instituted against them. The Clerk was authorised to advertise that if rates are not paid within prescribed time, 10% penalty is to be added. FINANCE Debit balance at Bank, £297 3s 2d. Accounts passed for payment, £40 18s sd.
