STOCK SALES
Messrs A. Buckland and Sons' report:— —At Helensville— There was a large yarding on Monday but stock were easier in price. Springers were scarce and made up to £10. Beef of good quality sold freely, and made from £8 to £10; store cows, £6 to £7 ; heifers, 2 years, made up to £4 10s ; one nice line of 18-months made £4 ss. Steers made £8 10s; 18-months, £2 15s. Calves, good quality, £2; smaller, £1 to £1 10s. Bulls sold freely from £10 to £12; smaller, £6 to £8. Fat sheep made up to 245; lambs, 13s 3d. —At Kumeu— There were only about 70 odd head of cattle yarded, on Wednesday, but sold equal to Helensville prices.
