TROUNSON'S KAURI FOREST A LARGE party of representative Auckland men arrived by the Wdirua on Friday evening with Mr J. Trounson, and on Saturday accompanied him to the head of the Kaihu Valley, where an 'inspection of the Kauri forest area was made. The party consisted of the Hon. Mr F. W. Lang, Mr A. Harris, M.P., J.G.Coates, M.P., Hon, G. Fowlds, H. M; Skeet (Commissioner of Crown Lands), Rev. Dawson, G. Mccol, W, Hutchison, Wesley Spragg, Pacey, Caughey, Smeeton, Speight, Palmer, F. Hall, Captains Porter and Hammond. Some of the visitors returned to Helensville, whilst others proceeded to Wbangarei by motor car. —"Times."
