Jones, Auctioneer, Victoria and Lome Streets, Auckland, reports :— The produce market this week has been very busy and a large volume of business has been done.- Poultry came forward in very heavy supply and for good conditioned birds good prices were realised. A great quantity of the birds i are in poor condition. Roosters, ducks and young turkeys and geese are in . strong demand and good prices are ruling. Old ducks are low. Potatoes of good quality are selling' freely; poor grades are hard to quit. Butter, eggs, and fruit are firm. Honey is slow of sale. Vegetables are lower. Grain market firmer. POULTRY (2000 penned)" I Hens, prime 3s to 4s, good 2/6 to 3/2, others 2/5 to 1/8 ; ducks, young 2/6 to 3/11, others 1/5 to, 2s ; roosters ■ to 6/9, good 4s to 5/6, smaller 3s to 4/2 ; turkeys, gobblers, 12/ to 18/9, hens 5s to 10/3 ; geese, 5/6 to 9/4.
