STOCK SALES

Messrs A. Buckland and Sons' report : — —At Helensville — There was a large yarding on the Bth, some 450 head being yarded. Springers made up to £8 10s ; beef, large yarding, made from £8 to £12, smaller £5 to £8 ; steers, grown, ,up to £12 10s ; bulls, £11 5s ; store cows, £5 to £7 ; heifers, 2-years, to £5, 18-months, £4 5s ; 18----months steers, £6 5s ; calves, to £2 ss, smaller £1 to £2. About 300 sheep were sold, and prices ran, ewes and lambs all counted, 10s. Several horses were offered, and sold up to £20. —At Kumeu — There was a full yarding on the 14th and the prices compared satisfactorily with those realised at Helensville. Cows in calf made up to £9, according to quality ; beef made up to £11 10s, smaller, £6 to £9 ; steers, £11, others £8 ; store cows, £4 to £6 ; calves, up to £2 2s, smaller £1 to £1 10s. A large number of horses were offered, but not many were sold.
