—At Helensville Yards—
There was a very large^ yarding and high prices were realised right throughout the sale, plenty of buyers being present. Some 400 odd cattle were yarded. Good springers realised up to £11 for choice ; others from £8 to £10 ; smaller £4 10s to £8. Beef (large yarding) sold up to £12 15s fqr steers; cows from £8 to £10 15s, Store - cows from £4 10s to £6 10s. Two-year steers, £6 15s ; 18-months £4 5s ; smaller £3 10s ; calves to a year old, up to£2. Small pigs made 18s each, only 6 weeks. Build made £4 to £11. Two nice Shorthora bulls, sold by Mr J. Foster, made £10 5s and £10 10s. There was a quantity of furniture sold whioh was in real good order and sold vary satisfactory. There were 12 trucks of cattle sent on to Westfield, having been purchased by town buyers. —At Kumeu— At Kumeu on Tuesday there was fair yarding, all being sold, but a pure-bred bull, for which 18 guineas was offered was passed in. About 140 were yarded, Springers were very keen, from £6 to £11 ; 2-year steers, £6 15s ; 18-months. £3 10s to £4 ss. Beef and good store cows were very keen. Heifers made to £8 10s ; smaller, £6 to £7 i 10s; 18-months heifers, £2 19 S to £3 lbs ; 18-months Jersey steers, to £3. There were a good number of buyers present and a successful sale resulted. Several horses were offered, all being sold except one, whichwas passed in at £15. Smaller sold at from £4 to £6.
