An inquest was held at the Court Housed Helensville, on .Saturday, 2nd instil before Mr E. Thurldw. Field, J.P^f (acting-Coroner), and a jury of six, ottj the body of a young; married Maori^ woman, who died at the residence of? Janies Paul, Te Pua. - gs The idence showed that deceased^ was a Maori woman living in Maori?' fashion, and was delivered of a child^ about mid-day, on Friday last. Profuse/ bleeding set in, and Dr. W, S. Kidd (acting locum tenens for Dr Meinhold t£. Helensville) was sent for, but the wotnanf died five minutes betore his arriyal. A rider was added—That it would fie advisable that a maternity nurse be appointed for the out-districts. Wij * Deceased was well-known about the! district, and was 23 years of age,.
