STOCK SALES
The Auckland Farmers' Union, Limited report:— —At Helensville— The stock sale at Helensville on Tuesday, 21st inst., was very well attended and prices ruled high. Well over the advertised number (450) were yarded. Steers brought up to £11 15s for 3 and 4-year olds (225 yarded). There was not a great demand for springers, but a fair number of fat stock sold well, especially young ones, though prices were easier than at last month's sale. ■Young weaner pigs brought up to 15s each. Empty cows were in steady demand. —At Albany— On the 22nd inst. 150 head mixed cattle were yarded. These were in keen demand, and prices were good all round. 18-months-old steers sold very well. y There were plenty of buyers in | attendance. —At Warkworth— On the 24th inst. there was a very big yarding. Three and 4 year-old steers brought up to £11 17s 6d. The sale was very good, but prices ruled slightly .easier than the previous month. Fat cattle sold at very good prices and went off well. Young cattle ruled slightly easier.
