ORANGE BLOSSOMS

ADOLPH—KENSINGTON

A VERY pretty wedding was solemnised at St. Clement's Church, Kaipara Flats, on Tuesday, September 7th., the contracting parties being Mr William Adolph, second son of Mr Adolph of Kaipara Flats, and Miss Dorothy M. /Kensington, eldest daughter of Mrs E, Kensington, also of Kaipara Flats, The Church was prettily decorated for the occasion, and the Rev. Mr McDonald officiated. The bride, who was given away by her uncle, Mr A. G. Clements, looked charming in a dainty frock of lace voile, tastefully trimmed with white satin, she wore the orthodox veil and orange blossoms, and carried a beautiful bouquet. The bridesmaid, Miss Gladys Kensington, . sister of the bride, was becomingly attired in white embroidered muslin, trimmed with pink satin, and hat to match, while her bouquet was composed of pink and white roses. Mr L. Adolph, brother of the bridegroom, acte d as best man. After the ceremony th.c party adjourned tq "Qak_dale,'' the residence of the bride's gran4mqtb,er-, Mrs Clements, where a.hout twenty guests sat dqwn tq a sumptuous wedding breakfast. The usual toasts were honoured in delicious home-made wine. The wedding cake was the handiwork of the bride's grandmother, who, with her husband, the late Mr E. G. Clements, was one of earliest an,d m,ost resnect.e4 pioneers of the district. This was the tenth wedding breakfast partaken of at " Oak Dale," and the toast of " The Hostess" was drunk with enthusiasm, though one and all missed the genial presence of the late host. Among the guests we noticed Mrs G,. Stanwell (of Helensville), aunt of the bride. The presents were numerous and costly. Th,e happy couple left b.y the express for their honeymoon^ the bride's going-away dress being a blue military costume | with hat to match. '
