HOSPITAL SHIP FUND
TO THE PEOPLE OF NEW ZEALAND
Since my last announcement regarding the Hospital Ship Fund- I desire' to inform the public that in accordance with the views expressed afr the meeting held at Government- House. Wellington, ou 29th July, I hav6 disbursed £ following amounts :—
1. For comforts for sick and wounded in Egypt, £1,000.
2. To the High Commissioner for New Zealand to be devoted to the Mount Felix Hospital for New Zealanders at Walton-on-Thames, in response to *n appeal for £10,000 made by the High Commissioner and Lord Plunkett on behalf of the New Zealand Association m Great Britain, £5,000 (I propose to send the remaining £5,000 shortly). 3. To the High Commissioner and Lord Plunkett for tobacco and newspapers for the sick and wounded at Malta and the Dardanelles, £150
4. For comforts for the sick and wounded at Trentham, £615 10s 6d. £500 F°r No< 1 BaSe Hospital at E«yPt.
£27,640 9s 6d, or £22,640 9s 6d rfter the second £5,000 has been sent to the High Commissioner. .
