The best of •weather prevailed, and the attendance was excellent, over ninety couples being present. Delightful music was rendered by Morrow's orchestra, which came up from Auckland and gave their services gratuitously, thereby winning the gratitude of all and greatly adding tQ the enjoyment of the evening. The M's.C. were Messrs J. Vercoe and J. Bradly, who worked hard in looking after the welfare of those indulging, in the light fantastic. The members of the Brigade appeared in their new uniforms and presented quite a gay appearance. The ladies supplied a delicious supper, which was thoroughly enjoyed. Dancing was kept up vigorously until about % a.m., when the tired and happy crowd wended their way homewards.
