i A FEW days after the hearing of the I bankruptcy case of John McKenzie (alias McLeod), a carpentor and builder doing business in Helensville, the man | was arrested t by Constable Driscoll and I escorted up to Aucklaud, where he was | charged that, being a person who had at ! Helensville been adjudged bankrupt, he j did within the space of six months prior to his bankruptcy, incur a debt of £88 4s 5d with B. F. McCarthy, when ho had no reasonable expectation of being able to discharge the debt.. McKenzie, for ! whom Mr Hall Skelton appeared, was remanded till Friday (to-morrow), bail
being fixed at one surety of £100 or two of £50 each- - ■
