THOSE FOOTPATHS

TO THE EDITOK,

SIR, —I notice in your paper of July Bth. two short paragraphs with reference to footpath at Lambert's factory- As late Chairman of the Town Board, I had that footpath formed before I went out of office and all ready for scoria, from the sample room to the bridge. The present Board has been ten months in office, and has at last put on 30s worth of scoria, with the assistance of your valuable paper. I would draw your attention to the fact that the footpath was formed right up to the bridge, but why has the scoria not been placed up to the bridge also. Is Megson's shop not entitled to some consideration, and should people be compelled to cross over to Stewart's store ? It is too pointed altogether, and I hope you will see the matter put right.—l am, etc.,

James McLeod
