MEETING OF CREDITORS.
A meeting of the creditors in the estate of Augustus Tilby, was held in the Magistrate's Court, Helensville, on Tuesday last. Mr Fisher Official Assignee, presided. The debtor was represented by'Mr John Beale, while Mr Hall-Skel-ton appeared for Mr J. Drinnan, and Mr E, Thurlow Field for the other principal creditors.
The debtor stated that he commenced business as a fisherman in October, 1912, in a boat provided by Mr J. Drinnan. For some time he kept paying off principal and interest regularly; but early in 1913. he began to go behind, through scarcity of fish. On about the 25th May he returned the boat to Mr Drinnan, and on the 29th he filed. The Official Assignee held that the boat would have to be given up. Mr Field also expressed the same opinion, while Messrs Beale and Hall-Skelton contend- j JkLthat the return to Mr Drinnan was correct thing. Mr Hall-Skelton offered to accept service of any proceedings on behalf pf; ?vfr Drinnan. The creditors on the pro--posal of Mr Stewart, seconded by Mr Masters: That the Official Assigaee be instructed to take proceedings io recover the boat for the creditors.
