Downer is progressing satisfactorily.

The Echo has now a next-door neighbour in the person of Mr G. E. Elson, M.P.S., registered chemist and druggist, from Wellington, where he was in business for a number of years; but as the climate was not adapted for his constitution, he came North, and now solicits public support, and opens up in his new pharmacy, which has just been fitted up.
