" Roosters' " Competition
Messrs Graham and Cullens, and Hammond and Callagher, each having had six wins, a play-off was necessary to decide who should take the special prize donated by Mr A. Bishop for the pair securing the greatest number of wins in this competition.
The match eventuated last Saturday afternoon, when a very close game was witnessed. Messrs Graham and Cullens gained the victory by 26 to 22 points, after being behind the best part of the
match. Following the runners-up come Messrs Cuthbert and Murphy, with five consecutive wins. As far as matches are concerned, the bowling season is just about finished.
The championship singles was won by the popular player, Mr A. Hammond, whilst his working companion, Mr Smith, annexed the handicap singles.
The first years' players' competition has not been decided.
