They wero met at the' station by friends with horses and a fourwheeler, and conveyed to Glorit, where they put up for a few days. On Saturday a wellcontested game was played, resulting in a win -for Glorit. On Easter Monday the return match took place, and again resulted in a win for the local players, who, it is hoped, will not suffer from swelled head in consequence. On Tuesday the visitors returned to town, and judging from their cheers they must have had a very enjoyable
time. Belgian Benefit. —At a meeting of settlers and others held in the Hall on Wednesday to decide on some form of entertainment to close our dancing season while the roads are bad, it was unanimously decided in favour of a Basket Social in aid of the Belgian Fund. It is to take place on the 23rd inst., and everything is to be done free of charge. This deserving cause should be well supported, and it is hoped a big number will roll up.
