DEFENCE NOTES

HELENSVILLE PLATOON OF THE

KAIPARA RIFLE CLUB

THE Helensville Platoon will parade on Saturday next, 10th inst., at the Defence Office, Helensville. Those new members who have not fired their musketry course are particularly requested to attend. The competition for the championship gold rooster will also be fired. Members are particularly requested to note that the musketry course must be finished this month, as the annual return must be forwarded to the Defence Department next month. Capt. Turley, the officer in charge of this sub-group, is at present on leave. The friends of Sergt.-Major Fletcher, who left here with the main Expeditionary Force, will be glad to learn that he is well, and wishes to be remembered to all his friends, particularly those connected with defence matters.
