PRESENT Messrs E. T. Field (chairman), J. Lambert, J. Wilson, T. Elliott, J. Stewart, G. Sellars, and the clerk (Mr H. W. Stringer). MINUTES Minutes of the previous meet" ing were read and confirmed. CORRESPONDENCE Correspondence read and either dealt with or laid upon the table. BUILDING PERMITS The Clerk was instructed to write to several people notifying them that it was necessary to procure a building permit before erecting buildings on their premises, and if same were not secured at once to institute proceedings against them. PLUMBERS' LICENSES It was resolved that the Clerk write to the Plumbers' Board, notifying them of a breach of the Act, in connecting water mains without the necessary plumbers' license, and asking the Board to prosecute. COMPLAINTS OF RESIDENTS Mr D. Stewart wrote complaining that the cutting at Pipitiwai had left him without an entrance to his paddocks, unless he climbed a steep bank. It was decided to draw the attention of the Waitemata County Council to this, and to ask them to have same remedied. It was also decided to draw the attention of the Waitemata County Council to the very dangerous state of the bridge in front of Mr Campbell's property on Rotawhiri road. MONTHLY MEETINGS It was resolved i;hat in future the general meetings of the Board be held on the second Thursday in each month. THE PRINTED BY-LAWS The new By-laws having now been printed, it was decided that a charge of 2/- per copy be made. FINANCE Dr. balance at Bank, £509/3/2. Accounts passed for payment, £108/6/-.
