HELENSVILLE TENNIS CLUB PICNIC

ONE of the most enjoyable outings this season was the Tennis Club's picnic to the coast last week-end. The journey to the Murewai Rocks was made by motor, and about thirty availed themselves of the opportunity. We noticed principally amongst them, Mr and Mrs F. Strange, Mr and Mrs C. Sandin, Mr and Mrs Allen, Mr and Mrs Rose, Mr and Mrs Blanche, Mr and Mrs Lambert, jnr., Misses Donovan, Wilson, Blair, BEafford, Suncocks, Stanaway, Masters; Messrs Murphy, HcEwin, Palmer, Taylor, and others.

The weather was perfect, and everyone enjoyed themselves thoroughly. The arrangements were in the capable hands of Messrs W. Allen and C. Sandin. The party indulged in fishing and sur-f-bathing. After lunch visHors from Auckland began to arrive, this resort being a favourite motor drive and camping ground, Among the visitors was Eahamamoku, the world's champion short distance swimmer, who gave some very interesting exhibitions in the breakers. The time for departure came too soon, and the party could not help remarking that the roads in the Waimauku district are far ahead of that from Rewiti to Helensville., ' ,
