Jones, Auctioneer, Victoria and Lome Streets, Auckland, reports :— The Auckland market this week has been exceptionally busy, though values in poultry and fruit are low except for choice lines. The majority of poultry coining forward are in poor condition and moulting. We realised high prices for choice roosters. Potatoes are steady. Vegetables are scarce. Butter and eggs are much firmer. Fruit is in heavy supply. POULTRY (2,500 penned) Hens, 1/5 to 1/9, good 1/4 to 1/5 others Is to 1/3 ; roosters, prime 3s 6d to 4s 9d, good 3s to 3s 9d, cockrells Is to 1/5 ; ducks, young 1/3 to 2/3, old Is to 1/3 ; geese, to 3/6 ; turkeys gobblers 6/6 to 10/, hens 3/6 to 4/6. Pigs, 5s to 10/9. FARM PRQDUCE Potatoes, prirqe, 7s to 7/10, goqd 6s to 6s 6d, poor 3s to 4s; onions, 8s to 9s 6d ; swedes, £2 10s to £3 10s. Vegetables are scarce. DAIRY PRQDUOE Eggs fresh 1/5 to 1/6, butter 10c! to lO^d, bacon 9d to lOd, cheese 6d to Bd, honey 3s to 5/, bulk honey 2d to 3^d. GRAIfI Maize 5s to 5/4, wheat 6/9 to 8s oats 4/0, bran £8, sharps £8 10s; chaff, Southern 8s to 8s fid ; rye oorn 5s 9d ; barley 6s 6d. FRUIT Apples, dessert 4s to ss, good 3s to to 3/9, cookers 3/ to 4/; plums, Burbanks Is to 2s, Ogans Is -to 1/5; peaches, good 2/3 to 3s, others 1/9 to 2/3; nectarines, 2s to 3/; apricots, 7s to fy 6d; grapes, S(d to Is ; pears, Bon Cretion., 4s to 4s 6d, cookers 3s to \o 4s ; tomatoes, 2s Id to. 3s 9d; lemons, choice to 14s bushel case.
