AUCKLAND LADY SPEAKS

TO THE EDITOB,

Sir,—l am just completing my 12th visit to the Hot Springs in four yean. During that time I have found no fault with the management. I r^ave visited' Rotorua and Te Aroha and other places, but like many of my city friends much prefer Helensville. I have always found the staff most energetic and obliging, and the place sweet and clean. I have v seen hundreds of ladies use the swimming bath, and use it frequently myself, tut never heard of such incidents before. Local ladies must have become so sure of their safety that they became careless; the key has always been handed to us and we make use of it. If ladies are • foolish enough to bathe in a public bath with the door wide open they must^iake the consequences. Of course what is needed is a bath for ladies, bnt in the meantime we ladies should take^care of ourselves, not be criminally careless, and then blame the management. Re longer hours, the staff are on duty too longalready. I myself would like a later bath, say 9.30 p.m., but it should not be expected until the revenue warrants more assistance, My husband is delighted with the bowling green, and we always come to Helensville. Thanking you for space in your paper, but I could not leave without paying tribute to the Springs and its capable staff.—l am, etc.,

AN AUCKLAND LADY,
