HELENSVILLE DOMAIN BOARD
TO THE EDITOB. SIR,—I noticed in your last week's issue a very appropriate letter bearing upon • , the swimming bath at the Hot Springs, and thtf management or rather "mismanagement," in not providing for the strict privacy for ladies when occupying \^- the baths in question. Are things, ma; I ask, coming to such a pretty pasfedb after some years of excellent m*tM||HL~ ment, when the male portion of visiSr , were always duly warned when ladies* occupied the baths in question, that they' ~. - are now to take pot-luck as to male ' ~ mtruders? If such is to be the rule '■ then good-bye to the popularity -of the ba^hs and the welfare >f HelensviUe. -"\. gut there is another complaint to be made this time pn behalf of men visitors, who like an early morning or late evening dip. And for this purpose, why, may I enquire, are the baths not open at 6 a.m., instead of 7 a.m? And closed at 10 p.m., instead of before 9 p.m? In the latter case, the female in charge ' will not issue a ticket after 20 minutes to 9 o'clock, saying she must shut up *> sharp at that hour. Now, come, Mr * Editor, this is sheer nonsence, _and - \ we must have matters altered, if "there '^^ are any real live men on the Domain Board and I am informed that there T^ are at, least two out of seven ! But let that go. What is wanted in your town V* is up-to-date management ior visitors no matter where they come from or how* $t' long they stay. ' Qnce phased always # satisfied, and when that is the case"o|e fc .t§lls his qr Her friends*.—l am, etq., vj Frequent Visitor. M*
Crafty men condemn studies, s i mP l< men admire them, but wise ra en v* tn§ra.—Bacgn, -
