BOATING ACCIDENT
Through the timely assistance of Messrs W. Baker and C. Downer, in a boating accident on the Helensville River, qn Tuesday last, two lads (Alf. Sellars and Gordon Ellett) were saved from drowning, The third occupant of the boat, Dan, Sellars, swam ashore. It appears that the three above-named lads were out in a small boat, which capsized just near Mr Baker's residence. Fortunately the accident was witnessed from the bank, and Mr Baker swam out into the stream, steadied the upturned boat, and kept the youths up until further assistance was rendered by Mr C. DoAviier, who swam out, and between them they soon brought the lads to the shore,' Though immersed in the water for nearly h'alf-an-hour, . they , soon recovered frrjm their fright.
