Jones, Auctioneer, Victoria and Lome Streets, Auckland, reports :— Business on the local market this week has been very good, and a large volume of business has been done_ Values in potatoes and poultry have slightly lowered. Old ducks are not in much demand and prices are low. Good roosters are in strong demand. There has been a large supply of fruit this week and lines havd been cleared. Peaches are in much better demand and prices are much firmer. \ POULTRY (1800 penned) Hens, 1/11 to 2/6, good 1/6 to 2/, others 1/6 to Is 8d ; roosters, prime 3s 9d to 4s 9d, good 3s to 3s Bd, oockrells, 2/ to 2/9 ; ducks, young Is 8d to 2s 3d, old 1/ to 1/3 ; geese, to 3/6 ; turkeys, gobblers 7/ to 9/6, hens 3/6 to 5/, chickens 4d to 9d each. Pigs, 7s to 12/9, FARM PRODUCE Potatoes, prime, 6s 10 to Bs, good 5s to 6s, poor 4s to ss; onions, 7s 6d to 9s 6d ; swedes, £2 15s to £3 15s, Vegetables are scaroe, DAIRY PRODUCE Eggs fresh 1/2 to 1/4, butter 9d to 9J^d, bacon 9d to lOd, cheese 7d to 7^d, honey 3/ to 5/, bulk honey 2d to 3}^d. GRAIN Maize 5s to 5/4, wheat 6/9 to 7/9 ; oats 4/5, bran £7 15s, sharps £8, chaff, Southern 8s to 8s 6d; rye corn 5s 9d ; barley ss.
