Mr. J. Jones, Auctioneer, Victoria and Lome Streets, Auckland, reports :— The market this week has been heavily supplied with fruit and poultry. The price of fruit is lower. For poultry, unless of good quality, prices are low. Good roosters are in __ strong demand. Potatoes are easier, also onions. POULTRY (1800 penned) Hens, 1/11 to 2/6, good 1/6 to 2/, others 1/6 to Is 8d ; roosters, ..prime 3s 9d to 4s 9d, good 3s to 4s Id, cockrells, 2/ to 2/9 ; ducks, young 2s to 3s Id, old 1/ to 1/4 ; geese, to 3/6 ; turkeys, gobblers ?/ to 8/6, hens 3/6 to 5/, chickens 4d to9d each. Pigs, 7s to 13/. FARM PRODUCE Potatoes, prime, 8s to 9s, good 7s to 7s 6d, poor 4s to 5s ; onions, 9s to lls ; swedes, £2 15s to £3 15s. Vegetables are scarce. •*. -.•' DAIRY PRODUCE Eggs fresh 1/2 to 1/4, butter 9d to 9Hd, bacon 9d to lOd, cheese 7d to 7Hd, honey 3/ to 5/, bulk honey 3d to Z\i&. FRUIT Apples, local cookers 4/ to 7/, dessert 4s to 9g; plums, Burbank Is to 1/lOd, English 1/10 to 4s ; lemons, choice 9/ to 16s; peaches, 2/6 to 5/6; tomatoes, 4d to lOd per lb. .
