THE NEW PARCEL POST REGULATIONS

THE new alteration in the inland parcel post system came into force on December 1. The maximum weight of parcels to and from all places served by rail and steamer has been raised to 281bs, the dimensions to be limited to 3ft 6ir\s in length, and 7ft in length, and girth combined, The rates now char-god are : For first lib or fraction thereof, 3d ; for each succeeding lib or fraction thereof up to and including 131bs, lj^d ; for each succeeding lib or fraction thereof beyond 131b up to 28lbs, Id The special fee of Id hitherto charged for a receipt to the sender has been abolished.
