SIR,—Re Belgian Relief Fund.—ln reply to Mr James McLeod's request, I have pleasure in forwarding you list of contributors from Parakai, Parkhurst, andTePua, as collected by Messrs J. S. Vercoe and F. H. Hart. These amounts are independent of what these gentlemen collected on behalf of the Foresters: James McLeod, £4; Mrs Jas. McLeod, £1; L. McLeod, £1; Mrs MoAdam £1 ; M. H. Sheffield'£l 3s 6d ;N. W. Rimmer* 10s ; J. Brown and family £1; McCraven and family ss; W. Nicholls 2s 6d ;J. Nicholls 10s ; D. Cox 4s ; E. O. McLeod 2s ; 2 buttons 2s; Green 5s ; Harris 2s 6d; Master Rimmer 2s 6d ; Mrs Barnes 4s ; 6 buttons 7s ; Jas. Archibald £2 ; W. D. Smith 10s ; total, £14 10s. I have forwarded a total of £91 18s 7d from Helensville and surrounding districts, and shall be pleased to show how the amount is made up to anyone desirous of seeing same.Great credit is due to Messrs Vercoe and Hart, for giving up their day's work to go round collecting for this Fund. Messrs B. Evans, A. McLeod, Geo. and Tui McEwin-generously handed over £16, which they had subscribed towards the purchase of a horse for a trooper who was leaving with the Expeditionary force, but did "not go. Two pounds was given by a trooper who was reported as medically unfit and could not go. Messrs Stewart and J. A. Wilson also generously donated £5 each towards the Fund. Messrs A. Becroft and Captain Sellars were appointed by the Town Board to take charge of the Fund, and the well-known integrity of these two gentlemen should be sufficient guarantee that" the Fund is being well looked after.
