While doing the Ellerslie Course on New Year's Day, a representative of the .ECHO came across the ever-smiling phijj of Const. Bedeck (late of Hikurangi and" now of Birkenhead}. As many of his old friends at a distance are always pleasurably inclined towards his good health, we may safely inform them that Bedeck is still a credit to the force and is growing larger every day, and unless he does more vigorous gardening he'll coon ■be as big and as round as a 600 gallon-corrugated-iron tank such as tlmse supplied- by McLeocl 'of Tfelensville.
