President Wilson's Story.
+ Here is a yarn, the American President is fond of spinning :— "A I'riend of mine was in Canada with a fishing party, and one member of the party was imprudent enough to sample some whisky that was called ' Squirrel' whisky, because \ it made those who drank it in- ] clined to climb a tree. This gen- j tleman imbibed too much of this | dangerous liquid, and the conse-j quence was that when he went to the station with the rest of the company he took a train bound south j instead oT a train bound north. } Wishing to recover him, his compan- j ions telegraphed the conductor of j the south-bound train :— j "'Send short man, named John-' son, back for the north-bound train. He is intoxicated.' j "Presently they got a reply from j the conductor :— . Further particulars needed, j There are thirteen men on the train ] who don't know either their name ; or their destination.' -'-' j Found to be unfit for food, 2880 tons of grain have b«ea destroyed on arrival at tPie Port of London ' during the last 3'ear.
