There is no activity in Ypres and district, but in the northern part of West Flanders fighting has been resumed with, intense violence. The artillery fire on land is terrific, while British warships are throwing shells into the German batteries. The Germans, fearing the possibility of troops landing in their rear, have sent forces from the Yser and Ostend to Heyst and Zeebrugge, on the extreme north of the Belgian cosst. Many Germans are dying from disease, and numbers are deserting. The Germans also find it impossible to adequately feed their armies, and they are ill— . prepared for winter. The visit of King George has aroused the liveliest satisfaction in the north of France. PresidThere was a good attendance at the above pictures on Wednesday night last the prinicpal piece being "Scrooge,', which was greatly appreciated by young and old. On Saturday night next the star picture will be a great play of power and thrill, entitled "The County Seat of War," depicttng a terrific fight in the old barn. Other pictures will be the topical budget, "Two Little Dromios," Making Steel by Sieman's Process; "Pat Fannigan's Family," "The Innocent Victim;" "Tiny Tim's First Cigar." To be concluded by "Love and Gasoline." On Wednesday evening next the picture of the hour will be presented, entitled "King of the Air," A modern masterpieoe. The latest and greatest film triumph, Other items are also equally interesting.
