AWAROA BOWLING CLUB
A meeting of the committee of the above Club was held in the Pavilion on Saturday, 14th inst., when there were present: Messrs Bishop (in the chaii), Strange, Hill, Callagher, and Phillips, Mr Strange proposed and Mr Callagher seconded — That the **»: resignation of Mr Ryland as green caretaker be accepted, and that he be Hianked for services rendered. — Carried. v Proposed by Mr Callagher and seconded by Mr Phillips—That Mr Hopraeier be engaged to look after the green at 15/ per week for six months and 10/ for the remainder of the year, the green to be cut three times weekly, watered as lequired, .< and the paths, flower beds, etc., to be kept in good order.—Carried. Proposed by Mr Callagher, seconded by Mr Strange—That Mr James Stewart's donation of 2/6 per weejc for the upkeep of the green bjtfac* cepted with thanks.—Carried. " Proposed by Mr Hill, secorXP& by Mr Phillips—That Mr CullenVdouation of £1 for the same purpose, bfc accepted with thanks.—Carried. This was all the business.
