kGAIN the ECHO has to congratulate ielensville's premier sport, Mr Jas. Jand; this time on his winning the 3-reat Northern Guinea's of lOOOsovs., nth his b.c. Mullingar; 200sovs going a Castalia as second, and lOOsovs to Bedford as third. Mullingar, who was rst favourite, won the mile in the Jmdsome time of lmin 41 3-ssecs.~ rom a fair despatch, Manukau and kstalia were prominent, just in front i Mullingar, and there was little change Jr a couple of furlongs, after which astalia assumed command, and Mullinir improved his position slightly. At le straight entrance the pair were Imost locked together, but at the [stance Castalia was under pressure, ad though she made a game effort, the lomolo colt eventually passed the post i comfortable victor by a length, Bedford 'he same distance behind third. Manucau was a moderate fourth.
