TREE PLANTING MACHINES IN NORWAY.

The once rapidly dwindling forests along the coast of Norway are being made to flourish again by the vigorous efforts '-of a, large number of tree-planting societies. 'Muring the past 18 years these societies have set out more than 30 million young trees. In the two counties of the North and South Bergenhuus alone there are 114 treeplanting societies, which last year planted 2,270,000 trees.
