A BELGIAN'S LAST CURSE
AN inquest was held at Liverpool recently on a Belgian named Petri d.c Lafaille, a.native or Antwerp. Deceased, who was out of employment, was found dead in in his bedroom, which was full of gas. In a letter to the landlady he said: "In whatever way my dead body is disposed of, strictly forbid any religious nonsence to be performed. I die as I have lived, in the full belief that death ends all. I also die with the last curse I shall be able to utter for that ferocious human viper of Germany, the Kaiser." The jury returned a verdict of
suicide
