For Campers who wish to Travel Light.
A The camper who desires to "rough it" as much as possible anil to carry only the necessities, will find it quite a comfort, says Mr. W. P. Shew, to construct the bedding from grass or mess by weaving it in the manner of making a rag carpet, using lua\y twine or small rope as the warp. Two stakes are set the width <.f the bed or mattress to be made, and a cross stick is attached to their tops. Several stakes are set parallel with the cross stick and at a distance to make the length of the mattress. The warp is tied between the tops of the stakes and the cross
slick. An equal number of cords are'then attached to the cross stick and to another loose cross stick I which, is used to move the cords up ! ;<nd down while the grass or moss |ii pla'-o.'l in for the roof. The ,en is of the warp are then tied to , hold it together. When breaking up j camp the cords can be removed and j carried to the next camp.
