Detachable Heel Plate.
Although this device might be thought ■at . first glance 'to be a horseshoe, it is in reaMty a detachable heel-plate for the ordinary
walking shoe. The pawls, pivotally attached to the three uprights, have points intended to engage the seam of the heel of the shoe, these points being held securely in the seam by springs.
