The market this week has been steady and a large quantity of grain and produce has come forward from the South, which will relieve the state of the market. Poultry (960 penned) came forward in very heavy supply, and for good-conditioned birds last week's rates were maintained. Turkeys are in heavy supply and '.prices are a shade lower. Pigs are in strong demand and extremely high prices are* ruling. The fruit market is slightly lower, Potatoes and eggs are firm. Vegatable market over supplied, and low prices ruling. POULTRY ' Hens, 2/8 tq 3/4, good 2/5 to 2/7 special pens up to 4/3 ; rqosters, prime up to 4/10, goqd §/ to 3/5, ordinary g/6to 3s ; ducks, 2/ to 3/11; geese, to 5/6; turkeys, gqbblers. 7s tq 12/, hens 4/ tq 5/9.
