TO THE EDITOK. SIR, —As many of your readers are interested in the above subject, will you kindly allow space for the following questions and answers :— Q. What is the meaning of the word " Socialism " ? A. It is a doctrine or theory of a better arraingement of the social relations of mankind, than that which has hitherto prevailed. (See Webster). So we may say that Socialists want to arrange things that we may all live more happily together. The aims of the Socialist are therefore high and noble, and the following view of this most desirable condition, from the Bible standpoint, will, I hope, help him jlong in his good work : Q. If people would live quite happily together, how must each one be disposed towards the other ? A. See Amos 3:3. Q. What old saying tells the same truth? A. Birds of a feather flock together. Q. Is it possible to agree together in a certain way and yet not find true happiness ? A. Proverbs 1:10—16. Q. If Socialists find the happy condition they look for, upon what kind of thoughts and actions must they be agreed ? A. Romans 15:1—7. Q. But can human beings in their naturally sinful state have right thoughts and actions ? A, Rom. 8:5—8 and Rom. 3;10—12. Q. Seeing that we 'are all naturally inclined to do evil only, what is our great need ? A. John 3:3—5 and Rom. 8:8—1 J. Q. Who is said to have had all good thoughts, and always agreed with His Father ? A. John 8:28—29 and 1 Peter 2:21—22. Q. If we would be like Christ in thought • and word, whose mind must we have? A. Phil. 2:1—15, Q. If all had the mind of Christ, how many minds would there be ? Q. Can there be quarrelling where there is but one mind ? A. It takes, at least, two to make a quarrel. Q. What exhortation does Paul give us ? A. Rom. 15:5, 6. Also in John 17:20—23. Q. So long as the early Church followed this advice, in what form was Socialism seen ? A. Acts 4:32—45, Q. When Jesus receives us as His brethren and sisters, who is our Father ? A, John 2;17 and Mar, 3:31—35, Q. If we all had the same Father, how many families would there be ? A. Ep. 3:14—15, Q. Has God given. u.s a view of this great Sociable family as it will be in the wqrld to come ? A. Rev. 7:9—17, Q. What will becqrne of all those who do not become members of this happy family? A.
