KAIPARA CONTRIBUTIONS
The Kaipara Patriotic Fund now stands at over £1500, telegraphs a Dargaville correspondent, and the Lady Liverpool Fund at £250, while contributions are coming in weekly from all portions of the district. The Wairqa Maori Council vote!' £10 to the Patriotic Fund, a native women's committee contributed £7, and the Maoris employed at rafting logs £4 The Council decided to send circulars to overy Maori settlement within its confines and to request that all contributions be forwarded within two weeks.
