The Electoral Roll of voters closed on Wednesday, but as there was a by-election last June, and the roll was then made good by the addition of many new claimants, it was not to be expected that further additions up till Wednesday would be numerous; for all that, it is possible several persons eligible are not on the new roll. That is their lookout and neglect.
As the election of a new Board to consist of seven members takes plaoe on next Wednesday week, 18tb inst., and there have been many hole-and-corner complaints against those of the old Board, surely it is time those who think for themselves were mustering up candidates—men willing to serve their fellows as honest, persevering and progressive representatives, .
