Suggestions for practical, inexpensive, and pretty dec rr,: . ; )'or the home are always well ouu', and in our sketch may be seen an extremely effective decoration, which can lu> arranged in a few moments above a. door, and at the cost of a few ' pence. j It is composed of .Japanese pa.per fans, and fans of both kin.ls, the flat fan and the fan made to fold up, may be purchased in many shops for a penny or twopence each. Jlo.st of them are particularly pretty and ornamental in design, and in selecting the fans for this decoration they should be carefully chosen to harmonise with the colour of the wall-;>aper on which they are to find a place. \ A large "fold-up" fan is placed over the centre of the doorway and secured in position with one or two tiny tacks. . Round this fan five "flat fans" are arranged in the
manner shown in the illustration, with their handles hidden away behind the larger.
